Tourist Information

In addition to quality local shopping, food and drink, the Tullibardine Distillery and Visitor Centre makes Eaglesgate Retail Village a worthwhile tourist destination too.

Tullibardine dates back to the 12th century, when the first brewery in Scotland was established in the village of Blackford on account of its abundant supply of pure spring water from the nearby Ochil Hills. After centuries of beer making, the brewery was bought over in 1947 and painstakingly converted into a distillery by Welshman, William Delme Evans.

Many of the design features from Evans' time are still in use at the distillery today and his story, along with the rest of Tullibardine's turbulent history, is available by visiting the Tullibardine website - www.tullibardine.com

For a more interactive experience, the enlightening tours and dynamic Visitor Centre at the Tullibardine Distillery offer a fascinating insight into the famous 'elixir of life'.

Eaglesgate Retail Village is also situated within easy reach of several further tourist attractions. The 5 star Gleneagles hotel and resort is 2 miles away and features a host of facilities from world class golf, clay pigeon shooting and horse riding to a luxurious spa and award winning fine dining and accommodation.

Or why not visit historic Scone Palace and Stirling Castle? Both are within 30 minutes' drive of Eaglesgate.
