Expanding Retail Village Sets the Scene with Baking Brilliance & Couture Cakes
To celebrate the recent opening of two new retail outlets, Eaglesgate Retail Village is delighted to announce a weekend-long Summer Spectacular event to be headlined by 'the queen of baking', Mary Berry, and 'the Bentley of cake makers', Mich Turner.
From couture cupcake master classes to wonderful baking demonstrations, Eaglesgate Retail Village's 'Summer Spectacular' event is sure to tantalise the tastebuds. Taking place from Friday 25th June until Sunday 27th June, Eaglesgate Retail Village will celebrate the summer with guest appearances from the afore-mentioned chefs.
Specialising in Aga cookery, cakes and desserts, Mary Berry is a regular contributor to TV and radio food programmes and has written over 70 best selling cookery books with over 5 million sales, including the classic Ultimate Cakes.
Displaying her baking prowess at 11am, 12.30pm and 2.15 pm on Friday 25th June Mary will undertake summer baking demonstrations at Eaglesgate Retail Village which will guarantee that visitors will go home inspired and enthused.
Meanwhile on Sunday 27th June at 12 noon, 2pm and 3.30pm, Mich Turner, founder of Little Venice Cake Company - London's leading designer of couture wedding, birthday and celebration cakes - will provide an intriguing display of the work that goes into the creation of such fine culinary handiwork whilst simultaneously encouraging visitors to dig out their aprons and delve into the world of cake decorating.
Not only has Mich provided advice to the likes of Heston Blumenthal and tutored Kirsty Allsop in the art of cake decorating, she also boasts a celebrity client list including Her Majesty The Queen, Madonna, Gordon Ramsay and David Beckham to name but a few.
Eaglesgate's Summer Spectacular event marks an exciting new phase for Eaglesgate Retail Village, which has recently welcomed two new tenants Pavers Shoes and Leading Labels. The forthcoming event is the first in a series of events to take place at the shopping and visitor destination throughout the year.
In addition to Mary Berry and Mich Turner's culinary master classes the weekend will include a line-up including: free manicures at Pavers Shoes, style advice with an image consultant at Leading Labels, a family BBQ at Baxters, and a series of tastings and tours of Tullibardine Distillery. Not to mention a spectacular giveaway of over £10,000 of products that will be given to the first 100 purchasing customers every day!
